Why It's Important and Tips for Making Better Food Choices for Kids

The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) recently released a set of guidelines in both a statement and report that urged parents and others responsible for children’s health to beware of the chemicals in many common foods and food packaging that are damaging our kids’ health. This warning includes scientific evidence showing that specific chemicals in foods and food containers may have a negative impact on hormones and child development and growth. More specifically, the AAP is asking adults to reduce the amount of processed meat consumed during pregnancy, increase the amount of whole fruit and vegetables eaten, and to limit the use of plastic food containers for both storage and heating of foods. These food-related activities all can interfere with the body’s natural hormone levels and throw them into havoc. Confirmed! Soarin’ Over California Will Return to Disneyland Resort Once Again!

Last year, Soarin’ Over California briefly returned to its original home at the Disneyland Resort , much to fans’ delight. While the run only lasted during the summer months ( and even saw an extension to its run !), many demanded that it return once again. Soarin’ Over California The Orange County Register officially confirmed today that the attraction will make another limited return this year and we can already smell the orange groves! Soarin’ Over California will return to Disney California Adventure starting on February 28th, 2020 . The run is in conjunction with the park’s Food and Wine Festival , which is set to take place from February 28 – April 21, 2020 . We’re hoping Soarin’ Over California will at least run through the 21st, although Disney has yet to confirm an official end date . We will let ya know once they do!
